So, the last day of the epic. We woke to mizzle, but it soon cleared to give a hot and sunny day.<\/p>\n

Hill of the day was the climb out of Portreath. Congratulations to the Portreath parish council for providing what we can now say from personal experience are the finest public loos in Europe!<\/p>\n

Then a relatively fast, undulating ride along the cliff tops, then through Hayle, St Erth and then across country to \u00a0Marazion on virtually traffic free lanes and cycle track to Mounts Bay and St. Michael’s Mount. A celebratory lunch on the beach by Jordan’s cafe. Almost home.<\/p>\n

It was a reflective ride along the familiar lanes west to St. Just. A quiet homecoming as we dropped the bags in the garden and rode down to the sea for final photos. Just to prove we really had ridden from the Black Sea to the Atlantic.<\/p>\n

Cape Cornwall, here the Bristol Channel meets the Atlantic Ocean. The far side of the Cape is the Atlantic. The rocks in the distance are the Brisons, just off Porth Nanven cove where our “end of journey” photos were taken.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

…. and to be greeted by Smudge who hs been looking after things at Bosorne House while we were away. The trouble is, we’ve been away so long he’s not really sure we belong there any more!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
